Responsibilities:
- Work with Asia plants Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify improvement opportunities, quality issues or problem area. Initially focus on plant. - Initiate quality improvement projects to support and ensure external failure rate reduction of 15% year over year goal and other quality improvement objectives are achieved. - Lead significant quality improvement projects. Manage, track and support quality improvement efforts in the region. - Work with plants Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to insure the elements of the TCS Quality Management System are implemented and maintained to achieve the quality objectives. - Track and communicate Quality System metrics and lead quality system audits.
Requirements:
Education: - 4-yr. Engineering degree or equivalent experience - Preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Work Related: - Minimum 5 years experience in design engineering, or manufacturing/process engineering, or quality assurance related such as manufacturing/supplier quality control, product quality & reliability testing & qualification. Critical Technical Skills: - Six Sigma Black Belt or Black Belt in training - Quality tools and Statistical analysis for process/product improvement - Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis - Project management - Strong computer skill - Knowledge in Refrigeration or Controls is a plus Key Competencies: - Result oriented - Interpersonal and leadership skill, work effectively in an open consensus oriented team environment - High level of self direction and initiative - Strong analytical ability - Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates. Good command of English both verbal and written communication
