Job     Job Title: RPG BDB Outsource Mgr Location(s): Shanghai Number: 1 Company: American Company Responsibilities: - The Reseller Products Group (RPG) Outsource Manager (OM) is responsible for providing Manufacturing Engineering support for both new and sustained product lines in the Reseller Products Group (RPG) focusing on boxed server board and chassis products. - Duties include design for manufacturability, process and product improvements impacting quality and total cost, BOM development and structure, ECO release and new product introduction activity. - Candidate will work directly with RPG/UPSD/EPSD Outsource Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to launch RPG’s Branded Server products as well as manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and Product Discontinuance (PDs). - This position is the primary contact between RPG, Commodity Mgmt (CM), Strategic Materials, and the ODM factories. - The OM supports all facets of the product life cycle (PLC) which includes new products thru product discontinuance (PD). - Candidate should be a dynamic self starter with strong decision making skills. Requirements: - Knowledge of server products and technology is a real plus. - Additional skills/knowledge preferred in PBA design and assembly; Fixture design and tooling; International product transfers. - Excellent communications, project management, analytical and PC skills are a must. - Requires excellent organization and project management skills. - Solid background in product administration, cost control, and materials management. - Ability to work well in an ever-changing environment. - Ability to work autonomously. - Knowledge of Auto Cad, Speed, Buyer/Planner tools, and Excel are highly recommended. - Able to communicate verbally and written in English and Chinese. - Undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
