Job     Job Title: SOX Mgr Location(s): Shanghai Number: 1 Company: American Company Responsibilities: Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager and Regional Financial Controller, you will drive the financial compliance within the region by assisting countries in resolving accounting and internal control issues. You will also be the prime contact point within the region to lead Sarbanes-Oxley 404 project where you will coordinate with more than 12 countries in the region, monitor the quality of their documentation, control assessment and testing work and provide advisory to local Sarbanes-Oxley leaders. In addition, you will have to work with other team members to assist in month end closing and reporting work in the region and ensure that accurate regional reports are being submitted to the US for review and consolidation. You will gain broad exposure to all aspects of Finance. Other Major Responsibilities: - Provide advice and guidance to countries to ensure compliance of Asian countries with Corporate policy and US GAAP - Assist in resolving ad hoc accounting issues raised by countries - Proactively look for ways to ensure financial compliance within the region - Establish scorecard to track financial reporting performance of countries - Analyze financial performance & make recommendation for improvement - Meet corporate & management reporting requirement - Lead the effort in driving free cash flow Requirements: Education Background - Bachelor Degree or above - CPA certification Experience Needed - 5 years or above in Accounting/ Finance field, including a number of years in Big 4 accounting firms - Two years or above in Financial reporting role (including consolidation and management reporting experience) with a recognizable MNC Skills and Knowledge Needed - US GAAP experience - Strong analytical and presentation skills - Hands-on PC skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint - Knowledge of Hyperion is preferred - Excellent English written and communication skill - Strong leader yet a team player - Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline - Self-initiated and be able to work independently
