Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing a Laser Single Function and All-in-One (AiO) Mechanical and Imaging R&D team to deliver design and integration of AiO components, including print engine, scanner, ADF, control panel and formatter. 
Includes: 
- Management of engineering team, including direct reports and several 
  engineers delivering components for system-level integration 
- Ownership for print engine, scanner, ADF and control panel integration and 
  delivery 
- Definition of mechanical architecture, industrial design and imaging 
  solutions to meet customer needs and business financial targets 
- Collaboration with Boise Mechanical and Imaging R&D teams to leverage IPG 
  scanner, ADF and control panel technologies 
- Collaboration with the single function print engine team and other component 
  providers, such as firmware and formatter teams, to ensure system-level 
  quality and reliability 
- Coordination with IPMO on prototype builds and manufacturing test for 
  scanner, ADF and control panel 
- Qualification of scanner/ADF sub-system and product-level life test 
- Management of budget for prototype samples, testing, tooling, and development 
  costs

Requirements:

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor's (undergraduate)degree, Master's (graduate)degree, or Ph.D. (post-
  graduate) degree in engineering discipline 
- Minimum of 5 years experience in printer/multi-function R&D 
- Proven problem solving skills and techniques 
- Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses 
- Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and 
  quality 
- Reduces broad concepts to structured projects 
- Broad to advanced technical and business knowledge 
- Ability to lead projects and people 
- Generates new and innovative solutions to complex problems 
- Exchanges and clarifies complex, sensitive and technical information 
- Ability to design, develop and improve products, processes and components 
- Acts as technical expert regarding technical trends, quality, reliability, 
  manufacturability, supply chain requirements, competition and cost trade offs 
  relating to product/process design and development 
- Ability to work independently, and on a project team 
- Experience in high tech manufacturing and project management 
- Negotiates with internal and external contacts 
- Flexibility to travel internationally several weeks per year 
- Fluency in English
