Responsibilities:
Job description Systems program managers develop and execute system or solution-level program plans and specifications in support of the implementation and release of new products, services, or processes. While managing clearly defined and focused programs with committed resources, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact. You'll organize and lead cross-functional solution team activities to ensure that all deliverables meet the customer needs and business requirements. You'll manage programs through coordination of multiple projects across multiple disciplines including but not limited to the different engineering job families (e.g., electrical, systems, mechanical, etc.), and manage the life cycle of the program ensuring the deadlines are achieved and day-to-day functions of the program and related projects take place as required. You will also act as champion for higher-level management, and provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the team and other direct reports. You will accomplish this by coordinating activities through direct and indirect staff, working with engineering management to identify and improve overall efficiency of the program in the future. Responsibility includes overall accountability for program execution in terms of schedule, budget, and delivery on business requirements and quality. This position is also responsible for organizing and coordinating all program checkpoints and cross functional deliverables and representing program status, risks, and opportunities appropriately to senior management. In addition, needs to integrate the requests and requirements of the various functional areas and development of a delivery plan that makes appropriate tradeoffs to achieve the expected business results within the available development cost and COGS targets is required.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's (undergraduate), Master's (graduate), or Doctorate (post-graduate) degree in a technical discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering) or business-related field Experience and knowledge: - An in-depth knowledge and application of engineering principles and concepts, broad-based functional knowledge, working knowledge of project management processes and tools, experience with product/system/solution lifecycles, and successful facilitation of work objectives using positive influence and coordination techniques - Minimum of 5 years experience in printer/multi-function R&D Skills: - Logical problem-solving Project management fundamentals, effective communication, and presentation skills - Negotiation Planning, organization, and facilitation skills - Ability to manage and influence others (both within and outside your own direct work-group) - Fluency in English and local language - Previous experience leading cross-organizational/cross-functional/cross- geography teams in a product development lifecycle - Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal (English required) - Demonstrated leadership ability among peers and ability to communicate and champion issues to upper management - Proven problem solving skills and techniques - Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses - Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality - Broad to advanced technical and business knowledge - Ability to lead projects and people Generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems - Exchanges and clarifies complex, sensitive and technical information - Ability to work independently, and on a project team - Experience in high tech manufacturing and project management - Excellent negotiation skills with internal and external contacts - Flexibility to travel internationally several weeks per year
